Food & Drink Expo

What an exciting couple of weeks with our first ever stand at the Food and Drink Expo show being our high point. At this event hundreds of companies come together to showcase the finest the UK has to offer in the food & drink sector. They all congregate at the Birmingham NEC, which plays host to a vibrant 3 days of seminars, presentations, demonstrations, and exhibitions. We couldn’t think of anywhere better to showcase our recently launched retail packs and talk more about what we can offer for anyone with a love for quinoa! So we headed off on a Sunday night, setting up our stand with our new branded banners, products and information booklets.

Visitors ranged from food buyers, technologists, chefs and shop owners to name just a few. Stephen and Joe chatted about how we grow, clean and get our quinoa ready for our customers, as well as listening to lots of new recipes and cooking ideas. Whilst our newly designed boxes took centre stage, we also had plenty of interest in some of our exciting new products in the pipeline. Hopefully the hard work over 3 days will pay off and more British quinoa will be served up on plates across the country very soon!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed meeting our fellow exhibitors throughout the three days and there are several we’re definitely going to keep in touch with. There were so many exciting products to try and exciting brands to see that we both took it in turns to take a look around and explore the show ourselves. It won’t be long until we’ll be back on the road heading on over to our next exhibition, kicking off with Cereals in Cambridge on 15^th& 16^th June and then shortly after at the Shrewsbury Food Festival.
